Dr. Stanford is a Space Life Scientist with twenty years experience in space life science. He is currently the Chief Scientist of General Space Corporation, where he is developing GSC's research and development customer liaison strategy and defining the GSC space facility science payload accommodations.
Previously Dr. Stanford was the lead project scientist in support of the Space Station and Lunar/Mars programs for McDonnell Douglas. Dr. Stanford's primary area of expertise is the effects of Space Radiation on biological and electronic systems.
Additionally, Dr. Stanford is a Commander in the US Naval Reserve and has supported the Office of Naval Research on many projects, including the Clementine Lunar Orbiter/Mapper.
Dr. Stanford is an affiliated member of the International Space University and serves on the faculty at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.
